Are you passionate about providing quality nursing care? We are looking for a committed Licensed Practical Nurse who is eager to deliver empathetic patient support at Northern Health Authority.

Under the supervision of the Home & Community Care Manager, the LPN operates with autonomy and initiative to assess, plan, and coordinate care for clients in various community environments.

The LPN guarantees high standards of care by mentoring and guiding the practice of community health workers and residential care aides.

In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the full-scope LPN may conduct intake assessments, develop care plans, provide personal care, offer health education, perform nursing procedures, and create individualized care strategies.


Work Schedule: Days - 08:30 to 16:30 on a rotating basis

New Wage :
As of April 1, 2024 the new wage is: $41.35/hour

Required Qualifications

  • Registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN.
  • Completion of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses approved pharmacology course and head-to-toe assessment.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of acute care experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Class V BC Driver's License.
  • Current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with the frail, elderly, or disabled, preferably in community settings.
Skills and Competencies:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact positively with others.
  • Physical capability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Proficiency in operating relevant equipment.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
