Position Overview

Are you passionate about providing exceptional nursing care? We are currently seeking a committed Licensed Practical Nurse who is eager to deliver empathetic patient support within our healthcare environment.

This role operates within a client and family-centered care framework, adhering to the standards, scope, and ethical guidelines established by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or their delegate, and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse will implement the Nursing Process, conduct assessments, develop care plans, and may oversee the activities of other staff members.

The LPN will function in alignment with the competencies outlined in the Entry to Practice Competencies, Scope of Practice, and Standards of Practice as defined by BCCNM, while also adhering to organizational policies and unit-specific protocols.

In this role, the LPN will assist clients and their families in achieving and maintaining optimal health through the following responsibilities:

Work Schedule:

Evening and Night shifts, from 15:00 to 23:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 (Rotating)

Required Qualifications
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of recent, relevant experience in acute care or residential settings.
Essential Skills and Competencies
  • Proven knowledge and skills in a specific clinical specialty or patient demographic, such as acute care, gerontology, or palliative care.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to delegate care and share expertise with the multidisciplinary team, clients, and their families.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Adept at observing and identifying changes in client conditions.
  • Skillful in planning, organizing, and prioritizing care initiatives.
  • Proficient in operating relevant equipment and utilizing necessary computer applications.
  • Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
