Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Program Officer to contribute to innovative approaches in community resilience, reconciliation, and climate change. This role involves coordinating activities, managing contributions, and collaborating with various sectors.

Work Mode & Location

This is a remote position; however, you must reside in Canada.

Employment Type & Reporting Structure

This is a full-time, temporary (12 months with possibility of extension) position reporting to the Programs Director within the Programs, Community Engagement department.

Job Summary

The Program Officer for Community Engagement will support the implementation of our community engagement strategy. You will work closely with community partners and provide administrative support for program activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support to our Community Engagement Programs.
  • Coordinate essential administrative tasks related to program operations.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with community partners.

Job Requirements

  • Functional bilingualism (English and French).
  • Experience working within the nonprofit sector.
  • 3-4 years of experience in program administration.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • A strong understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
  • Willingness to travel for meetings and events.

Assets

  • Experience in equity engagement initiatives.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Understanding of foundation spheres and philanthropy.
  • Group facilitation experience.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, evaluation, and learning methodologies.
