Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure
Contract Duration: 6 months to start
Location: Remote (Occasional travels)

The role of the Senior Project Manager is to strategize, develop, and execute business initiatives that necessitate IT solutions, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. This position will primarily focus on projects related to infrastructure implementation, application integrations, and Enterprise Service Management, ensuring compliance with the established processes and frameworks set forth by the PMO. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the IT department, steering committees, business stakeholders, vendors, consultants, and other essential parties to guarantee strict adherence to budgetary and project timelines while fulfilling business requirements to the satisfaction of the project sponsor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, encompassing resources, issue identification, resolution strategies, communication plans, risk management, and status updates.
  • Ensure clarity and completeness of business requirements.
  • Outline all project deliverables, including scope, objectives, milestones, key success indicators, and necessary adjustments.
  • Create project documentation to include scope, stakeholder lists, schedules, charters, budgets, risks, mandatory documents, missions, goals, tasks, and resource allocations.
  • Oversee and guide projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
  • Manage project change requests as necessary and address project issues/conflicts, escalating when required.
  • Establish project success criteria and communicate them to all involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and submit budget proposals and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • In collaboration with resource managers, provide insights and feedback on the execution of project tasks assigned to team members.
  • Ensure all operational support requirements are met and delivered effectively.
  • Lead discussions and negotiations with vendors for low-risk procurements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Draft project closure documentation and facilitate project closure meetings.
Qualifications
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a project management role, with at least 2 years dedicated to delivering IT solutions focused on infrastructure deployment, application integration, and Enterprise Service Management.
  • Proficient in creating tools and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle.
  • Solid knowledge of current IT trends.
