Job Opportunity: Intermediate Design

The Transportation Engineering Department at WSP Canada is seeking an Intermediate Design professional to join their team in Red Deer. As an Intermediate Design, you will assist senior engineering staff in the design and drafting of transportation engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process project base map and survey information, including setting up project base map and creating existing ground DTM.
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings, including plans, profiles, and geometrics.
  • Work closely with design engineers and project managers to complete design and working drawings.
  • Ensure highway and road designs incorporate all pertinent design features.
  • Contribute to the cost-effective production of transportation engineering and drawings.
Requirements:
  • Civil Engineering or Design and Drafting Technology/Technician diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of roadway and highway engineering design and drafting experience.
  • Working knowledge of transportation engineering principles and design standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
