Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Officer to join our team at JHL Contractors Ltd. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of recruitment and staffing, from identifying staffing requirements to preparing job offers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Staffing
    • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements to ensure business needs are met.
    • Prepare and post job notices and advertisements to attract top talent.
    • Collect and screen applicants to ensure they meet the minimum qualifications for the role.
    • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
    • Review candidate inventories to ensure the best fit for the position.
    • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and assess their suitability for the role.
    • Recruit graduates of colleges, universities, and other educational institutions to fill vacant positions.
    • Notify applicants of the results of the selection process and prepare job offers.
  • HR Administration
    • Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
    • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to maintain a positive work environment.
    • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    • Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
