Job Summary:

Destinationone Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join their corporate office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of HR activities and will report directly to the HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Support: Verify employee time cards and create reports for bi-weekly payroll for Canada and the US.
  • Frontline Support: Provide daily support to employees on company policies, employee relations, and annual programs.
  • Recruitment Management: Manage full-cycle recruitment, including posting job ads, screening candidates, conducting interviews and reference checks, and extending offers for all open positions in Canada & the US.
  • Training and Development: Support training through scheduling and managing training documentation, attendance tracking, certifications, etc.
  • HRIS and File Management: Maintain and update the HRIS system, as well as physical files on a regular basis.
  • Documentation and Compliance: File and organize HR-related documentation and ensure compliance with appropriate legislation and provincial employment requirements.
  • Employee Engagement: Assist in the administering and monitoring of engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Uniform Management: Manage employee uniforms with a service provider, including ordering new uniforms and solving shortage issues.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a Human Resources function.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Patience and good listening skills.
  • Ability to solve problems individually.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Multilingual (English and Punjabi/Hindi) an asset.
