Position Overview

As a User Assistance Technician at GLOBAL INFOTECH SERVICES, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our users can effectively navigate and utilize technology. Your expertise will help resolve technical issues and enhance user experience.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist users facing challenges with their computer systems.
  • Research and implement solutions by consulting user manuals, technical documents, and other resources.
  • Provide guidance and training to users based on identified challenges.
  • Maintain a comprehensive log of problems and solutions for the benefit of fellow technical support analysts.
  • Deliver support for business systems, networks, and internet services in response to user needs.
  • Set up and configure equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
  • Offer exceptional customer service to all users.
Technical Knowledge
  • Proficient in networking software and hardware.
  • Familiar with extranet and intranet systems.
  • Knowledgeable about servers and desktop applications.
  • Experienced with file management and security software.
  • Skilled in communication software, including MS Office and MS Windows.
  • Understanding of wireless networking technologies.
