Job Overview

The IT Support Hub Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering prompt assistance to users during operational hours. This position ensures compliance with organizational standards regarding asset management, focusing on hardware allocation and the ongoing enhancement of processes and performance metrics to optimize technology utilization and client support services. Responsibilities also encompass personalized support for personnel with computers, mobile devices, audio/visual services, and immediate troubleshooting for peripherals, PCs, and additional equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the IT Departmental Support Supervisor, the successful candidate will:
  • Provide assistance to users facing desktop computer issues as directed by the IT Departmental Support Supervisor.
  • Address inquiries, support users, and take ownership of issues escalated directly or through the IT Service Desk.
  • Collaborate within a team to resolve challenges to the client's satisfaction, update support documentation, and troubleshoot hardware and software concerns.
  • Support IT Technicians in the lifecycle management of IT assets.
  • Dispose of equipment as instructed by the IT Departmental Support Supervisor.
  • Have limited Active Directory permissions (Password resets / Domain joining ONLY) *No deletion access from the domain. Remote Control Access.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the IT Departmental Support Supervisor.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts may be necessary to extend business hours support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion or pursuit of a College/University program in Information Technology.
  • Familiarity with automated inventory management systems (such as Microsoft SCCM, ServiceNow, Active Directory reports, Virtual Environments) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills with a keen customer service orientation.
  • Knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, Adobe, etc.
  • Understanding of desktop operating systems, utilities, and business application software is beneficial.

Compensation: $43.18 per hour
Work Hours: 35 hours per week
