Position Overview

As an Operations Coordination Specialist, you will be instrumental in delivering administrative assistance to the FortisBC operations team. Your duties will encompass initiating and organizing work orders, scheduling and dispatching field personnel, as well as analyzing and interpreting various data to support the operational group. Additionally, you will be tasked with procuring and arranging necessary resources, maintaining communication with field personnel, and serving as the primary contact for incoming customer inquiries via telephone. This role necessitates strong organizational, communication, and decision-making abilities, along with a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Requirements

  • Completion of High School education, including coursework in office management and business communication.
  • A minimum of nine (9) months of relevant work experience.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and perform under pressure.
  • Proficient keyboarding skills with a typing speed of 60 words per minute.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and various software applications.

Additional Information

  • This role may require shift work or late coverage based on operational and customer needs.
  • Assignment to specific work groups within Operations Process Support will depend on operational requirements.
  • Occasional driving may be necessary for this position.
