Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Samy Restaurants Ltd. O/A Cosmic Pizza and Donair. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Supervision
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
    • Supervise a team of 1 to 2 people, including food service counter attendants and food preparers.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Demonstrate a client-focused approach, prioritizing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Work collaboratively as a team player, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, with a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
