Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Support Services Attendant to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. As a key member of our Support Services Department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning and disinfection, waste management, and linen distribution
  • Prepare, assemble, deliver, serve, and store food in patient care and cafeteria settings
  • Port patients within the facility and manage supply of transfer equipment
  • Receive and process hospital deliveries, validate and deliver items to departments, and enter items into electronic supply chain database
  • Arrange hospital shipments and maintain supply levels, reviewing shortages and rotating stock as required
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Experience in healthcare Environmental Cleaning or Food Services Department
  • Certificate in Cleaning in a Healthcare Environment preferred
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate or in-process of obtaining
  • Food Service Worker Program Certificate preferred
  • MSD prevention Safe Client and Materials Handling training, maintained annually
  • CPR certification preferred
  • Excellent record of dependability, ability to work well independently and as part of a team, and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to operate hydraulic lift/scissor dock and other equipment preferred
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this role require tasks that involve repeated lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing carts, and periodic climbing, including operation of floor machines and other equipment.
