POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales Director for Emerging Markets is tasked with spearheading the development and execution of pivotal business initiatives, sales tactics, and performance metrics aimed at achieving the organization’s sales and revenue objectives. This role involves leading a team of Sales Representatives to meet and exceed revenue goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee, guide, and enhance the performance of sales team members. Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape, including profitability, pricing strategies, service offerings, target markets, and sales channels. Formulate and implement strategic directions to drive sales growth for both existing and new revenue streams. Establish and manage sales performance metrics while fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement. Achieve established KPIs related to activities, lead penetration, conversion rates, opportunity creation, and revenue generation. Design and implement new KPIs aimed at enhancing revenue performance. Collaborate with other organizational leaders to streamline processes, boost productivity, address challenges, and resolve conflicts. Develop and enforce effective sales processes to optimize performance. Inspire, coach, and motivate a high-achieving sales team while building a strong talent pipeline. Foster a dynamic and engaging work environment. Supervise daily sales operations, including call activities, lead management, pipeline oversight, and account onboarding. Accurately forecast revenue growth and attainment. Manage departmental expenses and financial forecasting. Identify, evaluate, and implement process enhancements. Collaborate with fellow sales leaders within the commercial sector. Execute additional duties as assigned by management. Adhere to established organizational policies and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Strong communication skills for engaging with both direct and indirect reports. Proficient sales acumen, including needs assessment, value proposition development, and closing techniques. Ability to analyze sales data and metrics effectively. Excellent presentation capabilities. Competence in developing comprehensive sales strategies and plans. Proven ability to recruit and nurture talent. Strong motivational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Experience with telecommunication systems.

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

5 years of relevant experience with a focus on team management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
