POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Sales for Emerging Business Opportunities plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic sales initiatives that align with the organization’s revenue goals. This position involves leading a dedicated team of Sales Representatives to achieve and surpass sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and enhance the capabilities of the sales team.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s business model, profitability, pricing strategies, service offerings, market segments, and sales channels.
  • Formulate and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth for both existing and new revenue streams.
  • Establish and monitor sales performance metrics to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Achieve established KPIs related to sales activities, lead management, and revenue generation.
  • Design and implement new KPIs aimed at enhancing revenue performance.
  • Collaborate with other leadership teams to streamline operations, boost productivity, and resolve any challenges.
  • Develop and enforce effective sales processes to maximize performance.
  • Inspire and lead a high-performing sales team while building a strong talent pipeline.
  • Create a dynamic and engaging work environment.
  • Oversee daily sales operations, including call activities, lead tracking, and account management.
  • Provide accurate forecasts for revenue growth.
  • Manage departmental budgets and expenses.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Work collaboratively with fellow sales leaders across the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven sales expertise, including needs assessment and closing techniques.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficient presentation skills.
  • Capability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Experience in talent recruitment and development.
  • Strong motivational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including team management experience, is required. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is mandatory.
