Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our Aerosol & Gas Metrology Team at the National Research Council Canada. The successful candidate will have a strong background in laser spectroscopy and aerosol metrology, with a proven track record of conducting independent research and collaborating with international teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement novel laser spectroscopy techniques for measuring aerosol and gas concentrations
  • Conduct research independently and collaboratively with the team to advance the field of aerosol metrology
  • Develop and maintain high-precision instruments for aerosol and gas characterization
  • Collaborate with industry partners and academia to advance the field of aerosol metrology
  • Communicate research findings through peer-reviewed publications and presentations
Requirements
  • PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Strong background in laser spectroscopy and aerosol metrology
  • Proven track record of conducting independent research and collaborating with international teams
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
