Role Overview:

As a Logistics and Inventory Control Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless and effective execution of warehouse operations. Your duties will encompass receiving, storing, and distributing materials, while also maintaining inventory accuracy and organization within the warehouse facility. Furthermore, you will be tasked with inspecting goods for defects, preparing orders for shipment, and collaborating with other departments to fulfill customer orders promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspect goods for any damage or defects.
  • Efficiently store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring optimal use of space and easy accessibility.
  • Maintain precise inventory records utilizing inventory management systems, conduct regular cycle counts, and address discrepancies as necessary.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in accordance with customer specifications and shipping guidelines.
  • Coordinate outbound and inbound shipments, prepare shipping documentation, and arrange transportation as required.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure adherence to established quality standards and procedures.
  • Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and regulations, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and report any safety hazards or incidents to management.
  • Collaborate with fellow warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to synchronize workflow and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements, efficiency improvements, and cost savings within the warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping materials.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience in forklift operation or other relevant equipment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position starts at $; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
