The Inventory Control Specialist will be integral to the operations at BRC Group - Tayco, focusing on the efficiency of warehouse and inventory management processes. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure a seamless flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Oversight

  • Maintain precise and current records of all materials entering and leaving the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular physical and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Establish and enforce inventory control protocols to reduce losses and improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with production and procurement teams to manage Work in Process for cycle counts.
  • Examine inventory variances and investigate underlying issues.

Process Enhancement

  • Proactively identify and suggest methods to implement lean manufacturing principles to refine warehouse and inventory operations.
  • Align initiatives with both short-term and long-term strategic goals, executing improvements effectively and promptly.

Team Collaboration

  • Engage closely with Customer Experience Representatives (CER) and Scheduling teams to address customer must-arrive dates.
  • Verify item availability by checking inventory records or conducting necessary inventories.
  • Respond swiftly to any material flow issues within the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management, ideally within a manufacturing or warehousing context.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems or inventory/warehouse management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Compensation: Salary range of $50,000 to $55,000.
