Clerical Support Clerk Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Clerical Support Clerk to join the Integrated Care Team at the Pender Community Health Centre in the Downtown Eastside (DTES) area of Vancouver, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including transcription, client bookings, and reception duties.
  • Work collaboratively with Integrated Care Teams, Community Care Services, and Fee for Service GP Partnerships.
  • Apply knowledge of community, social, and mental health resources in the DTES area.
  • Utilize Trauma Informed Practice, Harm Reduction, and Recovery Oriented Care principles in daily work.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education and Office Administration Certificate or equivalent.
  • One year of recent experience working with individuals with primary care, mental health, or substance use health concerns.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of community resources and social determinants of health.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
