Clerical Support Specialist

Vancouver Community College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Support individual to join our team on a casual on-call basis. As a Clerical Support, you will provide administrative support to various departments, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide word processing services, including typing, editing, and formatting documents.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, files, and databases.
- Perform general office duties, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and providing customer service.
- Assist with data entry, data processing, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- 9 months to 1 year of related experience in a general office and clerical work or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
- Bookkeeping, cashiering, and accounting experience would be an asset.
- Sound knowledge of modern office practices, business English, and Mathematics.
- Superior skills in oral English are essential.
- Ability to maintain a pleasant telephone manner and to demonstrate patience and tact during very busy periods.
This is a casual on-call position, and the successful candidate will be required to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
