Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. As an IT Support Specialist at IMP Group, you will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a help desk system to provide support to end-users, researching, troubleshooting issues, and documenting.
  • Own customer technical issues from initial report to resolution, communicating with customers regularly regarding issue status.
  • Triage and coordinate complex cases.
  • Support the development and execution of IT projects.
  • Install and maintain computer equipment and peripheral hardware and software.
  • Monitor systems performance and respond to issues.
  • Provide on-call and after-hours support for outages and maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in help desk, IT support, or its equivalent.
  • Strong self-motivation with a passion for IT.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of tech support issues.
  • Experience supporting and administering Windows 11 and Office 365.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms including VMware.
  • Experience with back-up systems.
  • Experience with an assortment of back-up hardware including tape drives, USB drives, and Disk-to-disk systems.
  • Experience with networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, subnetting, and other networking concepts.
  • Practical knowledge of workstation management and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with networking hardware.
  • Experience with installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Basic understanding of PowerShell.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and supporting mobile devices.
  • Experience with troubleshooting printers, scanners, and various other peripherals.
  • Ability to install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot a wide range of desktop hardware and software.
