Join Eastlink, a family-owned and innovative company, as a Technical Specialist-NOC. This role is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and is responsible for monitoring and coordinating efforts to maintain the health of Eastlink's Telephony & Transport networks.
As a Technical Specialist-NOC, you will be responsible for:
- Network monitoring and coordination
- Transport Network (DWDM, SONET) management
- Telephony Network maintenance
- CATV plant management
- Ticket-based communications and front-line data customer support
- Change Management - Network maintenance coordination
- Support group coordination (Tiered support and Field Operations)
- Simulcast broadcast duties and escalation procedures
- Simulcast Monitoring/Scheduling/Execution
Key qualifications for this role include:
- Professional Communications - Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Two-year accredited Electronics certificate
- Strong analytical trouble shooting skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Proficient in MS Word & Excel
- Ability to work in a 7-24 shift environment
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
