A Day in the Life of a Caregiver

As a Caregiver with Traverse Independence, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with their daily activities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation, as well as providing light housekeeping and laundry services. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with our clients and their families to ensure that they receive the best possible care.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience providing personal care to clients with disabilities or complex care needs
  • A Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent experience
  • Computer skills, including charting in a database
  • A flexible schedule and reliable transportation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Valid Level C CPR/Standard First Aid Certification
  • Experience working with complex clientele
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with proof of $1,000,000 liability insurance and a drivers abstract acceptable to Traverse Independence
