About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter, Commercial Insurance Specialist to join our team at 2299916 ALBERTA LTD. as a key member of our insurance underwriting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate individual and group applications for commercial insurance, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Evaluate new and renewal applications to determine insurance risks, premiums, extent of coverage, and other conditions, providing underwriting advice to clients and company personnel.
  • Approve the sale of commercial insurance policies, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in commercial insurance underwriting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless processing and delivery of commercial insurance products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or a related field.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other relevant software applications.
