Job Title: Azure Platform Engineer

Company: Insight Enterprises

Insight Enterprises is seeking an Azure Platform Engineer for a contract position. The successful candidate will collaborate with analytics teams, focusing on the monitoring and resolution of various tasks. A solid understanding of Azure cloud architecture, services, and security is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Azure resources, including virtual machines, networking, and storage solutions.
  • Implement and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters for effective container orchestration.
  • Set up Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure secure access to Azure resources.
  • Create and manage Service Principal Names (SPN) for application connectivity.
  • Work alongside data teams to integrate and optimize Databricks within the Azure framework.
  • Automate cloud operations and deployment processes utilizing Azure DevOps.
  • Monitor cloud performance, costs, and security, providing recommendations for optimization.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure, including Azure DevOps.
  • Expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerization technologies.
  • Understanding of RBAC, SPN, and cloud security protocols.
  • Familiarity with Azure Databricks and big data technologies.
  • Strong automation and scripting skills.
  • Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Developer Associate are advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
