Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Provincial Health Services Authority. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, coagulation, and chemistry tests. You will also be responsible for operating X-ray equipment and performing general X-ray procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, coagulation, and chemistry tests
- Operate X-ray equipment and perform general X-ray procedures
- Prepare and process patient samples for testing
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory results and procedures
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
- Graduation from a recognized Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology program
- Eligibility for registration with a provincial licensing body
- Completion of the NAIT TRAM 101 Course or equivalent experience
- Recent experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical laboratory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
