Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled HR Administrator to support the preparation and examination of legal documents, including union and nonunion contracts and agreements. This role will assist the HR department and legal team by performing various administrative and paralegal functions. A solid understanding of legal compliance and exceptional organizational abilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including union and nonunion contracts and agreements.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the recruitment process, which includes posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Address employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct research on legal and HR-related topics as necessary.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for HR and legal departments.
  • Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
  • Support health and safety administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • Paralegal certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in union relations and administration is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in HR administration or as a paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and legal compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
