Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations, providing support to both managers and employees, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for employees on all HR-related inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist with talent acquisition initiatives, including coordinating interviews, liaising with departmental leads, and conducting interviews in partnership with hiring managers.
- Create official internal documents, such as offer letters, appointment letters, and salary adjustments.
- Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action.
- Manage digital and physical files for employees, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews.
- Review company-wide policies to ensure compliance with rules and regulations, such as the OSHA and ESA.
- Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook.
- Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employees.
- Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Human Resources Assistant or Human Resources Coordinator position.
- Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experienced with full-cycle recruitment and onboarding.
- Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Employment Standards Act.
- Prior experience assisting with payroll, such as tracking leaves of absences and vacation.
- Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal business skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects.
