About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Seaside Grill Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and ensure they are properly stored.
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
  • Food Preparation
    • Assist in the preparation of food, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
    • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods for service.
  • Stock Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • General Kitchen Duties
    • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
    • Physical Demands
      • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
      • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Personal Qualities
      • Reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
      • Ability to work overtime as required.
