Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Seaside Grill Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Operate dishwashers and washing machines to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards
- Prepare and portion food for service, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and maintain a clean and organized storage area
- Assist with food preparation, including cooking, baking, and plating
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
- Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Will train on the job
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliability and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Fast-paced environment
- Overtime required
- Repetitive tasks
- Standing for extended periods
- English or French
- 40 to 50 hours per week
