Position Summary

We are seeking a Nuclear Equipment Inspection Specialist to join our team in a dynamic work environment. This role involves collaborating closely with the Lead Technician to perform equipment evaluations and testing. The Specialist will meticulously document all activities in accordance with established procedures and inspection protocols. This position also requires participation in our Internal Visual Inspection qualification program, progressing through various certification levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute moderately complex technical assignments within ongoing engineering projects to support equipment and system operations.
  • Thoroughly review and comprehend Visual Inspection operating procedures and technician qualifications.
  • Responsible for the setup and maintenance of equipment during project execution.
  • Work independently while receiving general supervision.
  • May assist in Waterlancing operations as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred post-secondary education in a technical discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within a team.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work shifts and extended hours as required by field projects.
  • Extensive site work is anticipated (50% - 60%).
  • Prior experience in a Nuclear Facility is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of visual inspection equipment and control systems is essential.
  • Demonstrates technical competence and understands the objectives of professional staff, while requiring guidance from Lead Technicians and Engineers.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Clearance for access to nuclear sites.
  • Willingness to work in a radiological environment is necessary.
