Position Overview

We are seeking a Nuclear Equipment Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

The specialist will operate under the guidance of the Lead Technician, engaging in equipment evaluation and testing activities. Responsibilities include meticulous documentation of all tasks in accordance with established procedures and methodologies. The specialist will also participate in our Internal Visual Inspection qualification program, having completed the initial levels of our certification program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct moderately complex technical assignments that contribute to ongoing engineering programs supporting equipment and system operations.
  • Thoroughly review and comprehend Visual Inspection operating procedures and technician qualifications.
  • Set up and maintain equipment during project execution.
  • Work independently with general supervision, demonstrating initiative and technical competence.
  • Support Waterlancing activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Preferred post-secondary education in a technical discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective teamwork.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work shifts and extended hours as required by field projects.
  • Significant site work involvement (50% - 60%) is expected.
  • Prior experience in a Nuclear Facility is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of visual inspection equipment and control systems is essential.
  • Ability to understand professional objectives while requiring direction from Lead Technicians and Engineers.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance for access to nuclear facilities.
  • Willingness to work in a radiological environment is necessary.
