Job Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the HR Management team, responsible for coordinating all HR-related matters. This includes general HR administration, attendance and performance management, and serving as the primary point of contact for frontline staff and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to general Human Resources inquiries from front-line staff and leadership
  • Assist the HR Manager with various projects, including the maintenance and improvement of HR processes and programs, and managing policies and procedures
  • Support the on-boarding and off-boarding processes
  • Assist with attendance and performance management, including creating and delivering employee communications
  • Support employee investigations and related follow-ups
  • Maintain monthly/quarterly attrition reporting
  • Provide HR communications and updates as required
  • Perform other duties as required

Additional Requirements:

  • University degree in a related business discipline, combined with the HR Management Diploma/Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-4 years' experience in a related HR role
  • CHRP preferred or working towards CHRP
  • Knowledge of current employment legislations and best HR practices
  • Superior organization and client orientation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to build and manage relationships
  • Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license, and the ability to travel to site locations within Eastern, Central, and Western Ontario
