We are seeking a Director of Enterprise Risk to oversee our risk management initiatives within the Legal department. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel & Head of Litigation and Enterprise Risk, this role is pivotal in steering the enterprise risk management ("ERM") framework across Lightspeed on a global scale. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing Lightspeed's ERM program and fostering a culture of risk awareness among all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor enterprise risks, trends, and mitigation strategies across all operational sectors.
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging risks that could impact Lightspeed.
- Develop comprehensive risk frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Assess and implement risk management software to advance Lightspeed's ERM initiatives.
- Create methodologies for tracking enterprise risks, including the establishment of key risk indicators ("KRIs").
- Report on risk monitoring outcomes and KRIs to the Executive Leadership Team and the Risk Committee at the Board level.
- Manage risk documentation and infrastructure, including the enterprise risk register and risk KPIs.
- Educate and influence employees to cultivate a risk management culture throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to integrate the ERM program into strategic planning.
Additionally, you will:
- Support compliance functions to enhance Lightspeed's risk management culture.
- Provide expertise on risk management standards and best practices to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to broader organizational goals, even if it involves tasks outside your immediate responsibilities.
Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with:
- A university degree in business, risk management, law, finance, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in managing an ERM program.
- Experience presenting risk management strategies to Executive Leadership and Board members.
- Relevant risk management certifications (e.g., CRMP, CRMA, CRM) are advantageous.
- Prior experience in implementing risk management software and processes is a plus.
