Position Summary

The Director of Global Enterprise Risk Management Initiatives at Reinsurance Group of America is tasked with steering the implementation of enterprise risk management initiatives aimed at improving risk evaluation and establishing a robust risk management framework. This position is vital for fulfilling RGA's strategic and financial goals by providing critical insights and fostering a unified risk management strategy throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee designated project streams within a worldwide Enterprise Risk Management Program.
  • Establish risk tolerances for operational hazards.
  • Prepare presentation materials for board meetings.
  • Facilitate risk identification and evaluation procedures.
  • Contribute to the formulation of Key Risk Indicators and monitoring dashboards.
  • Embed risk management strategies into current ERM frameworks.
  • Support the Head of Global Sustainability Risk in refining the risk management structure.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Over 10 years of experience in enterprise risk management.

Desirable:

  • Recognized ERM certification or Master's Degree.
  • Experience in risk management across various industries.

Skills and Competencies

Mandatory:

  • Proven experience in risk management and control evaluations.
  • Thorough understanding of financial compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in project management.
  • Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively in a global team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
