Director of Global Enterprise Risk Management Initiatives

Position Summary
The Director of Global Enterprise Risk Management Initiatives at Reinsurance Group of America is tasked with spearheading the implementation of enterprise risk management initiatives aimed at improving risk evaluation and establishing a robust risk management framework. This position is vital in supporting RGA's strategic and financial goals by providing insightful analysis and fostering a uniform risk management strategy throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee specific project workstreams within a global Enterprise Risk Management framework.
- Establish risk thresholds for operational challenges.
- Prepare presentation materials for board meetings.
- Facilitate risk identification and evaluation processes.
- Assist in the creation of Key Risk Indicators and reporting dashboards.
- Embed risk management practices into current ERM frameworks.
- Support the Head of Global Sustainability Risk in refining the risk management structure.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Over 10 years of experience in enterprise risk management.
Desirable:
- Recognized ERM certification or a Master's degree.
- Experience in risk management across various industries.
Skills and Competencies
Essential:
- Proven experience in risk management and control evaluations.
- Comprehensive understanding of financial compliance regulations.
- Excellent communication and analytical capabilities.
- Advanced skills in project management.
- Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a global team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
