Design Manager - Lifestyle Projects

At Gensler, we're driven by a passion for creating innovative and impactful spaces that shape the world around us. As a Design Manager specializing in lifestyle projects, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing our clients' visions to life.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead all phases of lifestyle project development, from conception to construction completion, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to established timelines and budgets.
  • Establish clear project objectives and requirements, collaborating closely with diverse teams of architects, designers, engineers, and contractors to achieve optimal results.
  • Orchestrate project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor activities, maintaining meticulous oversight to ensure projects stay on track and within financial parameters.
  • Empower and guide project teams, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes creativity, innovation, and high performance.
  • Develop compelling project proposals and negotiate contracts with stakeholders, safeguarding the firm's interests while building strong client relationships.
  • Ensure unwavering compliance with contractual agreements and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Qualifications:

  • Possess 12-15 years of proven experience in managing lifestyle projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of the design and construction process.
  • Exhibit expertise in navigating all stages of the project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership and mentorship skills, inspiring and guiding teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Possess strong negotiation and financial management acumen, ensuring projects remain profitable and aligned with budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of building codes and industry standards, ensuring compliance throughout project execution.
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.
  • Hold a relevant degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
