Position Overview

  • Lead the standardization of quality initiatives across various locations; develop a cohesive team of quality specialists.
  • Oversee the quality assurance program aimed at ensuring the consistent production of goods that meet established benchmarks.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, production staff, and clients to address quality concerns and enhance overall quality standards.
  • Deliver technical training and guidance to management and staff regarding product safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a quality team across multiple locations, standardizing processes and enhancing existing quality systems.
  • Design and maintain a quality management system focused on minimizing process variation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Set quality control goals and align them with production practices in collaboration with other management personnel to optimize product reliability and reduce costs.
  • Develop and enforce product quality strategies and procedures, overseeing measurement requirements and compliance with specifications.
  • Guide inspection and testing teams to ensure quality assurance for raw materials and finished products.
  • Organize and promote training sessions related to product quality and reliability.
  • Occasionally act as the primary contact for clients regarding quality matters and represent the company at client sites as necessary.
  • Address, assess, and resolve customer feedback and complaints regarding quality.
  • Monitor and manage customer insights related to quality performance.
  • Supervise the activities and projects of all quality team members.
  • Implement effective supplier management practices and controls.
  • Collaborate with raw material suppliers on specifications and manage vendor-related issues.
  • Oversee customer specification management.
  • Manage trials and new business initiatives, creating and communicating plans as needed.
  • Provide oversight and direction in areas related to operational controls and prerequisites, including pest management and good manufacturing practices.
  • Communicate findings and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with third-party quality control program requirements.
  • Conduct annual training sessions on safety and quality standards.
  • Evaluate supplier performance metrics.
  • Support lean manufacturing and organizational efficiency initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings within quality management functions.
  • Conduct audits of product and process quality.
  • Review and report on quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee quality management system assessments for local operations.
  • Uphold and enhance the company's reputation through ethical practices and adherence to core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Business or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality management at a multi-site level or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage multi-site priorities.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet research.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and process improvement.
  • Experience with technical testing in production settings.
  • General knowledge of printing and converting technologies is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across multiple locations and for training purposes.
  • Current passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Availability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to distinguish and match colors accurately.

Working Environment

  • Office and manufacturing settings across multiple locations.
  • Travel to various meeting venues, which may include international destinations.
