Position Overview

  • Lead the standardization of quality initiatives across the organization, fostering a team of quality experts.
  • Design, coordinate, and oversee a quality assurance program aimed at ensuring the consistent production of goods that meet established benchmarks.
  • Guide the efforts of suppliers, production staff, and clients to address quality challenges and enhance overall quality standards.
  • Deliver technical training and support to management and staff regarding product safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a cohesive quality team nationwide, standardizing processes and enhancing existing quality systems.
  • Develop and uphold a comprehensive quality management system focused on minimizing process variability and ensuring compliance.
  • Set quality control goals and align them with production processes in collaboration with plant managers and quality professionals to optimize product reliability and reduce costs.
  • Formulate and implement product quality strategies and procedures, overseeing measurement requirements and compliance with specifications.
  • Supervise inspection and testing activities to maintain quality control over raw materials and finished products.
  • Organize and promote training sessions related to product quality and reliability.
  • Occasionally act as a liaison for quality-related customer interactions, collaborating with plant management and sales representatives.
  • Address, assess, and resolve customer feedback regarding quality issues.
  • Monitor and manage customer insights related to quality.
  • Oversee the activities and projects of all quality team members.
  • Implement effective supplier management practices and controls.
  • Collaborate with raw material suppliers on specifications and address vendor-related concerns.
  • Manage the customer specification system.
  • Supervise trials and new business initiatives, creating and communicating trial plans.
  • Provide guidance on functional control and prerequisite programs related to product safety and operational standards.
  • Communicate findings and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with third-party quality program requirements.
  • Conduct annual training sessions on quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and quality metrics.
  • Support lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives within the plant.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction within quality functions.
  • Conduct audits of product and process quality.
  • Review and report on continuous improvement and quality metrics.
  • Manage quality management system assessments for local operations.
  • Uphold and enhance the company's reputation by adhering to core values of integrity, respect, accountability, relationships, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in business or a related quality field; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality management at a multi-site level or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple priorities across sites.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and internet research.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and the ability to enhance them.
  • Experience in implementing technical testing in production settings.
  • General knowledge of printing and converting technologies is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel across multiple locations and for training purposes.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work beyond standard hours as needed.
  • Visual color discrimination skills are required.

Working Environment

  • Office and manufacturing settings across multiple locations.
  • Travel to various meeting locations, which may include international travel.
