Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team at Howard Johnson Inn. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
    • Provide guidance, training, and feedback to staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
  • Guest Services
    • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and have a positive experience at our hotel.
    • Respond to guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operations and Maintenance
    • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities, including rooms, public areas, and equipment.
    • Ensure that all hotel systems, including computer systems and equipment, are functioning properly and make repairs as needed.
  • Human Resources
    • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
    • Manage staff schedules, time-off requests, and performance evaluations.
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure that all hotel staff are aware of and follow security and safety procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on hotel operations, including guest feedback, staff performance, and financial data.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a hotel management or supervisory role
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
