Your Role

Our Edmonton & Vancouver office is seeking a Manager, M&A and Capital Markets to become a vital part of the Advisory team, taking on the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee a variety of advisory assignments (including sell-side, buy-side, and capital raising) simultaneously, ensuring the effective execution and delivery of services on projects.
  • Build and sustain client relationships, both internally and externally, while managing the operational aspects of client engagements.
  • Perform comprehensive market and industry research, detailed financial analysis, and assess key financial performance indicators.
  • Aid in identifying potential acquisition targets, buyers, and/or investors/lenders.
  • Create new business opportunities within the M&A and Capital Markets practice and BDO as a whole, fostering long-term relationships and networks.
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit to promote growth and manage practices within our expanding team.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in their professional development.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a CPA, CFA, or CBV designation.
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in capital markets or corporate finance.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, autonomous, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Strong initiative and adaptability to new challenges and ideas.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary.
  • Driven to engage with the market and cultivate relationships that lead to future opportunities.
