Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions

We are seeking a seasoned Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions to join our Advisory team in Edmonton & Vancouver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a range of advisory assignments, developing and maintaining client relationships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Advisory Assignments
- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day execution and delivery of service on projects.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, both internal and external.
- Conduct Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct market and industry research, detailed financial analysis, and evaluate key drivers of financial performance.
- Assist in the identification of potential acquisition targets, purchasers, and/or investors/lenders.
- Business Development and Growth
- Generate new business opportunities within the M&A and Capital Markets practice and BDO in general.
- Develop long-term relationships and networks.
- Mentorship and Team Development
- Mentor and develop junior level team members.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related major.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in capital markets/corporate finance.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Motivated, detail-oriented, autonomous, rigorous, and able to work under pressure.
- Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.
- Ability to travel, when necessary.
