Academic Support Advisor

Cégep Heritage College is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Academic Support Advisor to enhance the experience of our faculty and students.
In this role, you will report to the Academic Dean and play a crucial part in the coordination, design, and execution of educational initiatives, programs, and projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating on the administration of program management and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data related to academic programs.
- Supporting faculty in revisions driven by the Ministry of Education, including analysis, development, implementation, evaluation, and revision.
- Managing and disseminating pedagogical projects effectively.
You will also:
- Advise faculty on inclusive teaching strategies to enhance learning for students from diverse backgrounds.
- Compile and assess program and course success metrics, including statistics, surveys, and reports.
- Provide comprehensive program data and reports to the Academic Steering Committee and Program/Department Coordinators for evaluation purposes.
- Develop and execute surveys to gather pertinent information for evaluations in collaboration with the Academic Steering Committee.
- Oversee various student-related initiatives, such as Recognized Acquired Competencies (RAC), Co-op placements, and Student Mobility programs.
- Ensure adherence to the College's policies, particularly those related to education and research.
- Engage in outreach activities within educational networks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- A Master's degree in a related area would be advantageous.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English (written, spoken, reading, and listening) is essential.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver multiple projects within tight deadlines.
- Strong interest in research, analysis, and writing.
- Proficient in facilitating workshops for diverse audiences, both remotely and onsite.
- Solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative methods relevant to learning analytics.
- Detail-oriented, dynamic, and creative with a flexible approach to various situations.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent knowledge of digital learning environments.
