Role Overview

The Director of Marketing (HIV/AIDS) will spearhead the formulation and implementation of the strategic business plan for the HIV/AIDS sector. This role encompasses the tactical execution and overall promotion of the HIV franchise, which includes both treatment and prevention strategies. You will oversee the lifecycle management of HIV/AIDS products and support the introduction of new therapies within this domain.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Exhibit exceptional leadership skills to guide a cross-functional therapeutic team and senior marketing professionals.
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in performance management, strategic planning, prioritization, objective setting, recruitment, and execution of plans.
  3. Leverage diverse information sources (e.g., market research, advisory boards, competitive intelligence) to derive insights that inform franchise strategy and tactical initiatives.
  4. Contribute to the development of the franchise strategy for HIV/AIDS, along with the overall Brand and Promotional Plans.
  5. Lead the creation of tactical plans, messaging, communication strategies, and customer initiatives aligned with the field sales objectives.
  6. Oversee the execution of the field sales plan, including the development of sales tools, coordination with training, and driving results.
  7. Exhibit strong communication skills, capable of presenting effectively and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Possess organizational skills that ensure assignments are completed efficiently.
  9. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to lead, engage, and resolve conflicts among diverse teams.
  10. Exhibit strong executive presence and sound business judgment.
  11. Showcase excellence in project management, handling multiple priorities effectively.
  12. Manage complex budgets with a solid understanding of revenue forecasting.
  13. Build external relationships that foster brand advocacy.
  14. Have a proven track record in direct-to-patient marketing within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
  15. Possess expertise in e-Marketing and translating brand objectives into digital strategies.
  16. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of digital media.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  2. A bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field is essential.
  3. Advanced experience in product lifecycle management is preferred.
  4. An advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, or MBA) is desirable, with extensive knowledge in pharmaceutical product lifecycle management.
  5. Prior experience in people management is strongly preferred.
  6. A minimum of 3 years in product marketing or advertising focused on consumers or patients is required.
  7. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  8. Experience in e-Marketing is essential.
