HIV Director, Marketing

Gilead Sciences, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Marketing Director to lead the development and execution of the HIV/AIDS strategic business plan. This role will be responsible for driving the tactical execution and overall promotion/positioning for the HIV franchise, which includes both HIV Treatment and HIV Prevention.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of the HIV/AIDS lifecycle plan and support the launch of new products/indications in the category.
- Provide strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, lead change, drive results, and manage direct reports and the cross-functional therapeutic team.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and market share in the HIV/AIDS franchise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand strategies.
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
- Develop and manage budgets to achieve marketing objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to inform marketing strategies.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- A bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field is required.
- Advanced experience with product lifecycle management is preferred.
- An advanced science degree such as MD, PharmD, PhD or an advanced business degree such as an MBA is desirable.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical product life cycle management in a variety of therapeutic areas is preferred.
- Prior people management experience is strongly preferred.
- Direct-to-Patient experience is required, with a minimum of 3 years in product marketing or advertising focused on consumers or patients.
- An MBA degree or equivalent is preferred.
