A vital aspect of this role is creatively enhancing the brand and its associated revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the marketing vision for Sun Peaks Resort and the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel through strategic planning and tactical execution of core objectives.
  • Marketing and Communications Integration: Guide the strategy and integration of marketing and communication efforts to effectively meet the business goals of both the resort and hotel.
  • Oversight of Business Unit Marketing: Provide comprehensive marketing oversight for all major business units, including skiing, biking, hiking, golfing, food and beverage, rentals, retail, sports school, accommodations, and events.
  • Paid Media Strategy: Develop and manage all paid media initiatives, including planning, budgeting, negotiation, execution, and evaluation.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor progress and prepare performance reports.
  • Email and Database Marketing: Oversee the strategy and execution of database and email marketing.
  • Content Strategy: Lead the strategy and execution of content development.
  • E-commerce Management: Direct the strategy and execution of e-commerce initiatives, ensuring website optimization for enhanced user experience.
  • Brand Development: Guide the creative direction and brand development to ensure alignment with Sun Peaks Resort's identity.
  • Analytics Management: Manage key metrics and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Marketing Services Management: Oversee the marketing services function across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Manage vendor and third-party relationships, including negotiations and contracts.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute to the external community engagement strategy.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Ensure marketing efforts reflect a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Compliance: Adhere to the organization's code of conduct and values.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Degree in marketing, commerce, or a related field, with expertise in digital marketing.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in executing integrated marketing campaigns across various platforms.
  • Results-driven with a focus on metrics and performance reporting.
  • Familiarity with mountain resort products and the competitive landscape.
  • A passion for outdoor activities is a plus.
