About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Good Landstar Ltd. as a key member of our logistics operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Logistics Operations: Oversee the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods and materials.
  • Manage Supply Chain: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage inventory, track shipments, and optimize supply chain processes.
  • Lead a Team: Supervise a team of 5-10 logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure team members are equipped to meet the demands of the role.
  • Implement Process Improvements: Analyze logistics processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage Budgets: Oversee logistics budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Develop and Maintain Relationships: Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and customer service teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure Good Landstar Ltd. remains competitive and compliant.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Windows.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
