About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Good Landstar Ltd. as an Operations Manager. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the smooth operation of our transportation logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to achieve organizational goals.
    • Recruit, hire, and train staff to ensure a skilled and efficient team.
    • Conduct performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback.
  • Logistics and Operations
    • Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including transportation and warehouse management.
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure efficient operations.
    • Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Prepare and submit reports to management on key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, transportation, or business administration.
  • Experience
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a transportation logistics or operations management role.
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of 5-10 people. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The work hours are 40 hours per week.
