About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our team at SLR Consulting (Canada). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality environmental services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage small technical groups and technical programs, including all facets of project delivery, effective delegation, and oversight of project tasks.
  • Maintain the highest level of client satisfaction through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Effectively mentor junior staff in project management and task management skills, while also being mentored by more senior professionals.
  • Provide leadership through open and positive communications with all staff.
  • Participate in all facets of contaminated site projects, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and remediation projects, field sampling, and reporting.
  • Conduct field programs involving sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, surface water, vapour, and remediation system operation and maintenance.
  • Prepare remedial options analyses, remedial action plans, and associated design works.
  • Plan, report, and track schedules and budget as part of project financial management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in contaminated site assessment, including preliminary and detailed environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation programs.
  • Experience working in oil and gas, with an emphasis on mid-stream pipeline projects.
  • Experience with various contaminants of concern, including hydrocarbons and salinity.
  • Experience with various remedial techniques, such as excavation, biological treatment, in-situ treatment/remediation, risk assessment, and reclamation.
  • Knowledge and practical application of health and safety requirements unique to subsurface investigations and contaminated sites.
  • Ability to work independently, including the ability to work alone in remote locations and adapt to conditions/resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, geological science, or environmental science.
  • Professional status or eligibility for professional status with a professional organization (e.g., P.Eng., P.Geo., etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required for occasional travel to job sites/clients.
