About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at FLINT Corp. As a key member of our Mechanical Division, you will be responsible for managing complex projects from start to finish, ensuring safe, effective operations, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage capital projects with a value up to 100M CAD, overseeing all aspects from planning to execution.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  3. Lead cross-discipline teams, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are met.
  4. Manage resource allocation, prioritize tasks, and monitor project progress to ensure successful outcomes.
  5. Establish effective communication plans, facilitate project meetings, and ensure regular reporting to stakeholders.
  6. Coordinate cost estimates, bid comparisons, and contractor procurement, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  7. Oversee the construction of engineering work packs, manage subcontractors, and ensure quality assurance.
  8. Monitor site progress, identify and mitigate risks, and maintain a project risk register.
  9. Develop and implement technical documentation, ensuring approval by leadership teams.
  10. Liaise with government and regulatory contacts, representing clients in regulatory applications and submissions.
  11. Support business development, analyzing environmental and regulatory risks and opportunities.
  12. Maintain vendor and professional contacts, participate in training events, and implement corporate and client safety programs.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Journeyman Pipe/Steamfitter.
  2. PMI certification or post-secondary project management training is preferred.
  3. Minimum 10 years' management and supervisory experience, with a minimum of 10 years' experience managing multi-million-dollar projects.
  4. Superior client service skills, with the ability to multi-task, analyze, and solve complex issues.
  5. Strong organizational skills, including effective prioritization and follow-up, with a working knowledge of computer programs such as spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling software, and project management software.
  6. Business and financial acumen, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
