About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at FLINT Corp. in the Mechanical Division. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects from start to finish, ensuring safe, effective, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Manage capital projects with a value up to $100M CAD, ensuring projects are completed within required guidelines, schedule, contract specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  2. Project Performance: Accountable for project performance, facilitate scope determination, schedule, budget, and technical deliveries.
  3. Team Leadership: Lead the preparation and project implementation team, coordinating with cross-discipline team members to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  4. Resource Allocation: Manage resource and time allocation required to ensure project progress in coordination with other departments.
  5. Communication: Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution, leading and supporting the project team to meet all defined KPIs.
  6. Cost Management: Coordinate the cost estimate required as per client's Capital Value Process, oversee the bid comparisons, and ensure quality assurance and compliance with our client's capital project process.
  7. Documentation: Manage and prepare work plans, contractor bidding documents, requests for proposals, and contractor procurement, establishing and managing a system for recording, tracking, and progressing all project documentation using project management software.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with government and regulatory contacts in representing clients in regulatory applications and submissions, supporting the analysis of environmental and regulatory risks and opportunities for new business considerations.
  9. Vendor Management: Maintain and develop vendor and other professional contacts, participating in training events, project meetings, and team meetings.
  10. Administrative Duties: Complete administrative duties including claims, invoices, and all other paperwork within timelines.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Journeyman Pipe/Steamfitter.
  2. Experience: Minimum 10 years' management and supervisory experience, minimum 10 years' experience managing multi-million-dollar projects.
  3. Skills: Superior client service skills, demonstrated ability to multi-task, probe, analyze, and solve complex issues, ability to work in a constantly changing environment and achieve quality standards, strong organizational skills, including effective prioritization and follow-up.
  4. Knowledge: Working knowledge of computer programs such as spreadsheets, word processing, scheduling software, and project management software, strong knowledge of quality control and construction safety, business and financial acumen, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
